Veteran Actor Ajay Devgan rents-out 3,455 sq.ft Commercial Unit in Mumbai

Bollywood star Ajay Devgan, who is actor, director and as well as a renowned producer in Bollywood has rented out a commercial building spanning 3,455 square feet in Mumbai for a monthly rent of Rs.7 lakh.

The proptech platform Square Yards, which has accessed and verified the registration documents, mentioned that, the office is located in the Signature Tower on Veera Desai Road in Andheri West. The deal of this commercial space also comes with parking space for three cars.

Reportedly, the actor has owns a total of five units in the building acquired in April 2023, and the combined price of this stands at Rs.45.09 crore. The document also added that, the leave and license agreement was registered on September 2 and attracted a stamp duty of Rs.1.12 lakh.

Very few celebrities also own commercial units in the same building including Amitabh Bachchan, Sara Ali Khan with mother Amrita Singh, Kartik Aaryan and Manoj Bajpayee.

Earlier this year, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan acquired three office units with a combined carpet area of 8,429 square feet in the Signature Tower for nearly Rs.60 crore. This purchase follows his acquisition of four units in the same building last year, for which he paid close to Rs.29 crore.

In a similar move, Manoj Bajpayee and his wife Shabana Raza invested Rs.31 crore in four units in Signature Tower in October 2023. Each unit was purchased for Rs.7.77 crore, with a stamp duty of Rs.46.62 lakh, as indicated by the property registration documents.

On the other hand, younger celebrities like Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan are also neighbors in the same building, each owning a unit of 2,099 square feet. Sara Ali Khan and her mother, Amrita Singh, purchased their unit in July 2023 for Rs.9 crore. Kartik Aaryan, who acquired his unit in September 2023, paid Rs.10 crore. In both transactions, the seller was Aishwarya Property and Estates Private Limited.
