US-based Vertiv Establishes New Facility in Maharashtra

A Global leader in critical power and thermal management equipment for IT infrastructure projects, Vertiv has launched a new manufacturing unit in Chakan at Pune, Maharashtra. The new manufacturing plant manufactures thermal management products and solutions which are modified for data centers, telecom, commercial and industrial applications to cater both domestic & international markets.

The facility spans over 2, 10,000 sq. ft. / 19, 510 sq.mtrs., and set-up to support the manufacturing of cooling solutions that ranges from 200 W to 2 MW+, including adiabatic free cooling chillers, large custom air handling units (AHU), thermal wall units, a new range of large direct expansion (DX), packaged DX and free cooling with economizer units, a new range of in-row cooling units, wall mount units and rack cooling systems.

Also the facility boasts psychometric labs to provide performance testing, customer experience centre and design support abilities. The facility is situated in IGBC (India Green Building Council) compliant park focusing on sustainability. This shows the company will line up solutions with unique environmental and infrastructural needs of India by enabling optimal performance & reliability.

The new facility will aid to supply more thermal management capacity, perk up the lead times and boost its ability to deliver large and complex solutions. Among the emergence of India as a data centre hub in the APAC region, the new facility will operate and nurture the data centre ecosystem of the country.

By means of robust increase in global digitalization and the rapid adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), there is an increasing demand for more capacity together with the demand for data centre thermal and power infrastructure.
