On Tuesday, the Uttar Pradesh cabinet gave the green light to a plan put forth by Tata Sons to construct a 'museum of temples' in Ayodhya, with an estimated budget of Rs.650 crore.

Last year, there were discussions about establishing a museum dedicated to temples in Ayodhya. In September, Chief Minister Adityanath and other high-ranking officials presented the idea to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to an official, the temple museum idea was highly favored by the prime minister and extensively deliberated upon.

The initial intention was to exhibit the historical significance and architectural marvels of renowned temples in the nation. Furthermore, the idea of establishing a captivating light-and-sound spectacle at the planned museum was deliberated upon.

Singh mentioned that the state cabinet approved an additional proposal from Tata Sons to conduct development projects in the temple town, with an extra expenditure of Rs.100 crore.

Tata Sons serves as the primary investment holding company and promoter for Tata companies.

Singh stated that additional resolutions endorsed during the cabinet gathering encompassed the initiation of helicopter amenities in Lucknow, Prayagraj, and Kapilvastu through the public-private partnership (PPP) framework, which entails constructing helipads.

The minister stated that a proposal to transform inactive heritage buildings into tourist attractions was also approved by the cabinet.

Three heritage buildings, namely Kothi Roshan Dulha in Lucknow, Barsana Jal Mahal in Mathura, and Shukla Talab in Kanpur, have been chosen for enhancement into tourist attractions, as per his statement.
