The largest cargo terminal in India is under construction

The Noida International Airport, which is under construction, is expected to house India's largest multimodal cargo hub by 2024, according to sources familiar with the project. AISATS has already started work on this big endeavor after being picked by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) to design, build, finance, and operate the hub. The initial phase of the multimodal cargo terminal will involve an investment of Rs 1,200 crore, with Rs 456 crore already infused into the project, as confirmed by a senior state government official. The company aims to complete this state-of-the-art cargo hub in conjunction with the opening of Noida International Airport. Spanning an expansive 80 acres, the cargo terminal stands as the largest of its kind in the country, blending traditional and modern elements to deliver smart, seamless, scalable, and secure solutions to India's air cargo and logistics supply chain sector.

The development of the Noida International Airport and its integrated cargo hub is poised to play a pivotal role in Uttar Pradesh's journey towards becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy. The state government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is steadfast in its efforts to achieve this economic milestone, with the cutting-edge multimodal cargo hub at Noida International Airport in Jewar significantly bolstering their progress, as noted by an official spokesperson.
