TAFE Forecasting to invest Rs. 500 Cr in Tamil Nadu

India’s leading agricultural machinery and generator manufacturer based in Chennai, TAFE - Tractors and Farm Equipment has premeditated an investment of about Rs. 500 crore for the business expansion of farm equipment and generator.

The company TAFE marked a MoU (memorandum of understanding) with the Tamil Nadu government at the Global Investors Meet (TNGIM) 2024.

This Chennai-based company has planned to expand its division of Farm Equipment to make an advanced range of farm equipment for a wide variety of crops that suited to both Indian and international markets. The company has been selling tractors abroad to more than 80 countries across the world as well as Europe and America. 

In addition, TAFE intends an investment to develop its facility for the assembly and export of silent generators to various countries in the Middle East and Africa.Also, the company plans to set up a facility for design and development in Tamil Nadu. 

Speaking on this, Mallika Srinivasan, Chairman and Managing Director, TAFE says, “TAFE is keen to leverage the vibrant ecosystem of Tamil Nadu and work closely with the Tamil Nadu government as it invests in new growth opportunities”.
