RERA owes Notice to DDA on Un-registered Dwarka Flats

Alarming up the DDA - Delhi Development Authority for not registering its selling luxury flats in Dwarka Sector 19B project before divulging into advertisement & sales, the RERA - Real Estate Regulations Authority has raised a question to answer within three weeks on why scheduling & proceeding should not be started against it.

The apartments of DDA claims of holding more than 1,100 luxury flats, 14 penthouses, 170 Super High-Income Group (S-HIG) residences & 946 HIG flats.

The complex will consist 11 towers will face an hole golf Course in Dwarka that is still under the construction process.

The sales of luxury flats recorded a greater positive response & highly competitive among other players in the industry.

In this case, the DDA has notified that during the first round of sales, it had received 80 percent premium in few cases.

Last year, in December, RERA alarmed the DDA for violating the Section 3 of the RE(RD) Act that bans marketing, bookings, sales & advertisements without registrations of the respective project. Back to that, on 15th of March, again RERA alerted the DDA to show the appropriate documents to register the Golf View project.

Speaking to this, the officials of DDA stated, “We have received approval of RERA for the flats. As regards the query on delays, the same is being responded to appropriately.”

Similarly the sources from RERA says, “While the DDA has mentioned in its brochure that the project is to be completed by June 2024, it has notified the real estate body that it will, at most, complete the project by October this year, after subjected to RERA’s actions against it”.
