Real Estate developer BCM Group purchases Golden Palms Resorts & Spa in Bengaluru

The Golden Palms Resorts and Spa, a Bengaluru five-star hotel, has been acquired by the BCM Group. World Resorts has purchased the approximately 15-acre resort. With full responsibility for lavish hotel, the Gathering intends to change it into a wedding destination and MICE office in India.

The Group’s plans to enter the luxury hospitality market in India are in line with the acquisition. It also owns five-star hotels like the Sheraton Grand Palace in Indore, the Le Meridien in Surat, and a new Taj hotel in Indore with more than 450 keys.

There are 150 rooms and suites at the Golden Palms Resorts and Spa, as well as specialty restaurants and a vegetarian-only kitchen, a swimming pool, a business center, conference rooms, and other leisure amenities.

It is convenient to the Bangalore International Exhibition Center. After the upgrade, BCM Group intends to add more than 50 rooms to the resort and will collaborate with an international hotel operator on the project. It will add 110 rooms to its 115-key Sheraton Fantastic Castle property, while upgradation is in process with Le Meridien in Surat.

Mehta said BCM Group plans to add 50 plus rooms to the resort and will partner with one of the top international hotel operators for the project after upgradation.

Rishabh Mehta says, “There aren’t many getaways in and around Bengaluru and large MICE properties are still lacking in the city. We thought this would be a great acquisition and this saves almost five years of our time,” he said. “Acquiring land and permits takes time. It’s perfect for social events and is strategically located close to Bangalore International Exhibition Centre and the stadium. It’s a bit run down so we will upgrade the property. We aim to make it one of the finest destinations in southern India”.

“Upgradation is in process with Le Meridien in Surat as well. By the end of this year, we should have a flag in place with 190 keys. The Taj hotel should be operational by 2028”, Mehta added
