PM Modi Plot Plans Developmental drive for Assam's Infrastructure

Shri Narendra Modi, The Prime Minister of India inaugurated and positioned the foundation stone for projects worth Rs. 11,000 crores in Guwahati, Assam.

The auspicious event of the project inauguration marked a significant step towards augmenting the connectivity, sports, medical infrastructure and tourism in the North East region of India.

Addressing the event, PM Modi emphasized the role of the projects in intensifying the connectivity of Assam within the North East region and neighboring countries in Southeast Asian region. Also these initiatives pledge to create employment opportunities in the tourism sector & generate amazing opening for promising athletes. Furthermore, contributing to the growth of Assam, a significant extension in the medical education & healthcare sector is anticipated.

Aiming to facilitate the easier access for devotees & amplify footfall at the honored Maa Kamakhya temple, a notable project, Maa Kamakhya Divya Lok Pariyojana is unveiled. PM Modi highlighted that the state Assam is perched to turn out to be the gateway to tourism in the North East with a rush in pilgrims looking for the darshan of Maa Kamakhya.

The Prime Minister highlighted the focus of government on infrastructure by committing Rs. 11 lakh crore in the Union Budget and also he remembered the Rooftop Solar Scheme, intending to lessen the electricity bills to zero for one crore families. In addition, PM Modi promised to generate three crore Lakhpati Didis and emphasized the chances for women in self-help groups.

The event of inauguration was presented by major figures including Governor Gulab Chand Katarai, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. Beneath the Development Initiative of Prime Minister for the North Eastern Region - PM-DevINE, the projects include the Maa Kamakhya Divya Pariyojana, road upgradation projects under the South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation, and initiatives to boost sports infrastructure and medical facilities in the state. These developmental projects aspire to supply first-rate & world class facilities for pilgrims by enhancing connectivity & harness the  sports potential of the region.
