To meet the increasing demand for on-campus housing, PGIMER Chandigarh will construct a new hostel with 256 rooms for its resident doctors.

The planned hostel will include four blocks, each with a cellar, ground floor and three extra floors, covering an all-out area of approx.13, 312 sq. mtrs. Each of the 64 units in the hostel will have two rooms, a pantry, and a bathroom. An expected financial plan of Rs. 101 crore has been reserved for the dedicated project, in light of the CPWD plinth area rates of 2023.

This facility won’t just give a happy with comfortable surroundings yet in addition support the occupants’ scholar and expert development while tending to the space difficulties.

Regarding this project, Dr Vivek Lal, Director, PGIMER, “With the introduction of our new hostel block, we are addressing the space and accommodation challenges faced by our residents. This state-of-the-art facility will not only provide a comfortable living environment but also support our residents’ academic and professional growth”.
