P Alert Industries invents P Alert Meth Alarm to Detect Methamphetamine

P Alert Industries,an India-based Engineering Services Company’s division Technosphere has built up a preventive solution that enables the property managers and landlords to spot the occurrence of methamphetamine inside the buildings. The P Alert Meth Alarm applies a Nordic Semiconductor nRF9160 System-in-Package (SiP) for sending alerts and reports to cloud platform.

The P Alert Meth Alarm can be able to monitor the private properties, apartment blocks, holiday accommodations, social housing facilities, local government facilities including gyms and rest rooms, and health providers such as rehabilitation centers & clinics. This Alarm also comes in a version that greatly suitable for vehicles.

The two dynamic directors of P Alert Industries, James Hansen and Allan Spic explain, “There is a rising alertness that contamination at even low levels of methamphetamine may roots to negative health outcomes”. They added, “The dangerous effects of exposure to methamphetamine contamination can have severe health consequences for tenants, and the cost of testing and decontamination can be shocking for property-owners”.

The CEO of Technosphere, Bhaskar Rao, says “We opted for NB-IoT/LTE-M cellular IoT connectivity over alternative LPWAN technologies to stabilize the deployment in various countries across the world, as well as optimize the power utilization at the same time as to avoid the need for extra custom infrastructure such as gateways and servers. The cellular functionality is also critical for the product to be used in vehicles such as trucks.”

Putting a stop to methamphetamine contamination is far better than trying to remediate after the contamination has occurred. The P Alert Meth Alarm is emergingas a cost-effective solution that will prevent, deter, detect, and protect the health of occupants, while abolishing the need for swab testing each time.
