Microsoft signs strategic land deal of 48acre In Hyderabad for Rs.267 crore

Tech giant Microsoft has purchased a 48 acre land parcel, which is located in  Elikatta Village, Hyderabad in Telangana. According to the document, the sale deed was registered on April 18th. The total deal costs Rs.267 crore.

The current rate of per acre land in Elikatta Village, Farooqnagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy district, Hyderabad in Telangana is estimated at Rs.5.56 crore. The media reports said, during 2022, Microsoft had acquired three land parcels in Hyderabad for around Rs.275 crore to establish a data center. 

In the same year, Microsoft Corporation (India) had acquired 10.89 lakh sq ft of commercial plot in Pune from Finolex Industries for a consolidated amount of Rs.328.84 crore. That commercial plot is located at Pimpri Waghere in Pune. The land deal was signed through an agreement with Finolex Industries to transfer the lease for Rs.328.84 crore. The company had to pay a stamp duty of Rs.16.44 crore on the deal.

The concerned authority of Noida has allotted a plot spanning over 60,000 square metre to Microsoft India (R&D) private limited in sector-145 at a premium of Rs.103.66 crore.

As per the data of Anarock, few popular real estate developers have acquired approximately 101 separate land deals in fiscal year 2023-24. The amount of land deal which estimated was 2,989 acres across the country.

Over the couple of years, the design of office space has gone through a transformation and among the various trend in designs, flexible office spcaes and customized cubicles are the most fashionale and functional for office spaces.

Microsoft currently operates an India Development Centre (IDC) out of Hyderabad spread over 54-acre apart from Bengaluru and Noida. The IDC has played a pivotal role in the development and progression of Microsoft's technological offerings, such as Azure, Windows, Office, and Bing.
