Microsoft's massive Investment: Buys 25 acres of land in Hyderabad for Rs. 181 crore

According to property registration paperwork that Propstack was able to uncover, Microsoft Corporation (India) Private Limited paid Rs. 181.25 crore for 25 acres of land in Mekaguda, which is close to Hyderabad.

Natco Pharma Limited and Time Cap Pharma Labs were the sellers of the land tract. The records state that the transaction was completed on September 11, 2024.

According to the paperwork, a registration fee of Rs. 3.62 crore, stamp duty of Rs. 9.96 crore, and other fees totaling more than Rs. 18 lakh were paid for the transaction.

Over the past two years, Microsoft Corporation India has been buying up land at a rapid pace.

According to property registration documents obtained by Square Yards, the multinational computer giant Microsoft spent about Rs. 1,000 crore to purchase more than 30 acres spread across an area in Pune's Hinjewadi, a significant IT hub.

According to Square Yards, Microsoft Corporation (India) paid Rs. 453 crore to Viva Highways in August for almost 16 acres of land in Pune.

For a total of Rs. 328.84 crore, Microsoft Corporation (India) purchased a 10.89 lakh square foot commercial land in Pune from Finolex Industries in 2022. According to property documents, the commercial plot, which is situated in Pune's Pimpri Waghere, was purchased for Rs. 328.84 crore through a lease transfer arrangement with Finolex Industries. Between January and September 2024, more than 100 land purchases totaling around 1,700 acres were finalized in six major Indian cities, according to a report published by real estate firm CBRE.
