Meghalaya CM allots Rs. 2, 500 Crore for constructing New Administrative city

Heading for the significant development for the state of Meghalaya, the government has allotted a striving budget of over Rs. 2,500 crore to build a new administrative city near Shillong

This dynamic initiative is planned & organized by Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma in the motive to integrate the functions of administrations in a single location, in that way enhancing the accessibility of services for the public. 

The deliberated administrated city is set to start its constructing operations in Mawdiangdiang, spanning over 12 kilometers from the Shillong's city centre. 

This inclusive plan comprises the construction of the administrative buildings and the development of essential infrastructure such as road connectivity and water supply as well. 

The key aspects of the plan include the construction of state-of-the-art administrative buildings empowered with modern technology & smart facilities to sustain the evolving requirements of governance. These building structures are projected to serve as functional offices and stand as beacons of Meghalaya’s promise to advancement & development.

Chief Minister Sangma has evaluated the designs for the administrative city & plans to offer them to the state cabinet for approval. After the commencement of process for construction, DPRs (Detailed Project Reports) are anticipated to be finalizing by the end of the second quarter of the fiscal yearc2024-2025. 

The new administrative city is projected to be a momentous step forward by bringing together various government services in one accessible location to empower the citizens to avail all the benefits.
