L&T Bags Construction Contract to build AIIMS in Haryana

An Indian multinational conglomerate occupied in EPC Projects, Hi-Tech Manufacturing and Services, Larsen & Toubro has secured a contract from the Haryana government for construction of a new AIIMS building at Rewari, Haryana.

Under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the buildings and factories vertical of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction has pursued the order from HLL Infra Tech Services (HITES), a mini Ratna public sector enterprise.

The unit of Health Business of L & T - HRC SBG will take on the construction of a new AIIMS at Rewari (Haryana) on a Design, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis in Q3 FY24. The order for construction of AIIMS falls under 'significant' category which arrays between Rs. 1,000 crore and Rs. 2,500 crore.

The overall scope of the construction work includes civil structure, allied MEP services, including built-in furniture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of medical gas piping, modular OT, pneumatic tube system, nurse call system, central sterlite supply department and external development works such as landscaping.

Within the rigorous timelines, Project Planning & Monitoring, the construction work is to be executed. This upcoming 1.5 million sq. ft. facility will include a 720-bed Teaching Hospital, 30-bed AYUSH hospital, 500-seat Auditorium, hostel, residential facilities and will have yearly intake of 100 students at its medical and nursing colleges.
