Lemon Tree Hotels Expands its Footprints in Budhanilkantha in Nepal

The share of Lemon Tree hotels has observed a sharp gain in the morning trade of today, followed by the company’s announcement of expanding its presence Nepal. They declared that, they will shortly open Lemon Tree Premier at Budhanilkantha in Kathmandu.
In a stock exchange filing, the company declared that Lemon Tree’s inventory has crossed 10,000 rooms milestone. This first property comprises of 102 rooms and suites, a multi cuisine coffee shop, Asian restaurant, a recreation bar and a tea lounge. 

Additionally, the hotel has banquet spaces and conference facilities, besides extensive outdoor event spaces. It also offers a fitness arena, a spa and a refreshing infinity pool. 

The chairman and Managing Director, Lemon Tree Hotels, Patanjali Keswani  said, "We are very pleased to start FY25 on a high note, with both the launch of our first hotel in Nepal - Lemon Tree Premier, Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, and also crossing the 10,000 room mark."

He also added, "This is the first among several properties that would be coming up in Nepal, as we expand our footprint across the country, with a number of hotels and resorts set to open this fiscal and in the coming years. We are also going to expand our footprint in Bhutan further this fiscal, with the opening of a resort in Thimphu.”

Keswani also told the media that, the Lemon Tree group intended to launch a 200-room property in Ayodhya. Currently, Lemon Tree Hotels operates over 10,000 rooms across 102 hotels, with an additional 3,000 rooms and 60 hotels in development. 

The share of Lemon Tree recently touched a 52-week high of Rs. 147.20 and a 52-week low of Rs. 75.17 on February 23, 2024 and April 11, 2023. Recently, the stock is trading 5.16% below its 52-week high and 85.71% above its 52-week low. The share price jumped more than 80% in the last one-year.
