Nashik based Winemaker brand Sula just announced that, it would open new tasting room close to Nashik airport. According to the report of stock market, Sula Vineyards' stock rose 1.5% and it has also achieved a notable "global digital milestone.
This tasting room will be their fourth and it is located on Mumbai-Agra highway. The company told, "thus catering to the fast-growing demand from the regions north and east of Nashik."
In an official statement, the company said, "hit an all-time high of #11 on the star-studded list of most-Instagrammable wine brands worldwide and also crossed 150,000 followers on Instagram, an impressive milestone for a wine brand on the world’s #1 social media app"
CEO of Sula, Rajeev Samant opined, "This marks a significant step for Sula - our first Tasting Room outside our own winery premises, the start of a new chapter where we envision more Sula Tasting Rooms opening across the country. Plans are already in the works to open a fifth Tasting Room in the second half of FY25.” He also said that, with this new tasting room Sula will start envisioning its new chapter across the Country and beyond the boundary as well.
On March 5th, Sula Vineyards' scrip on BSE was trading 1.5% higher at Rs. 565.65. The COO of the company, Karan Vasani exclaimed that, they have harvested excellent breed of grapes with red grapes comprising 65% of the total wine grapes. He said that, it is a notable shift, from five years ago when red grapes constituted 55% of the total, reflecting India's increasing preference in red wines. Syrah and Chenin Blanc are among the top two varieties in this harvest. This year the wine grape harvest has set a new record of 10,500 tons.
Vasani also added, "We really got active on Instagram during Covid, and we are proud of our digital team's achievement to reach #11 in the company of the world's most amazing wine brands. Given how fast we are gaining new followers, I have no doubt that we will crack the top 10 soon!"
