Four Individuals defrauds worth Rs.66.75 lakhs & double-crosses Navi Mumbai Builder

A Navi Mumbai police official reported that an FIR has been filed against four individuals for allegedly defrauding a 35-year-old real estate developer of Rs 66.75 lakh in a land transaction. The accused allegedly forged documents to falsely claim ownership of a plot in the Ulwe area of Navi Mumbai.

The accused allegedly created and altered documents to falsely represent that a plot of land in the Ulwe area of Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, was owned by one of them. They manipulated official paperwork to deceive others into believing that the plot was legitimately under their control, which was part of their scheme to commit fraud.

They also fabricated various agreements and transfer orders from the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), gaining the trust of the victim from Sanpada, according to a complaint cited by an official from the CBD police station.

The officials informed that they are accused of taking Rs.66.75 lakh from the victim in a land sale-purchase deal and defrauding him, with the offense occurring between December 2021 and January 2023.

Based on the complaint filed by the developer, the police on Saturday lodged an FIR against four individuals under various legal charges, including cheating, forgery, criminal breach of trust, and criminal conspiracy.

The complaint states that these individuals were involved in fraudulent activities related to a land deal. The authorities have initiated a thorough investigation to uncover the details of the case and determine the full extent of the wrongdoing, the official reported.
