DDA orders to clear-up the Construction wastes & slits at Yamuna floodplain

According to the official statement released from the DDA - Delhi development Authority has issued a notice to various parties to clear waste and debris accumulated during construction work on the Yamuna floodplain by the end of June.

Delhi development Authority has sent several notices to line the directives of High court – Delhi. NHAI - National Highways Authority of India, Public Works Department, NCRTC - National Capital Region Transport Corporation, DMRC - Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, and the Delhi Jal Board are respective agencies served the notices. 

Those agencies have asked to clear up the construction wastes & fragments generated during the construction work of bridges & rail lines among various projects on the floodplain of Yamuna. 

 

To make sure the compliance with the orders from high court, the Delhi development Authority highlighted that in case if any intervals or breakouts from the reported stakeholders & investors, it will take on the cleaning process itself & impose considerable charges on the nonpayers.

The principal executive director of corporate communications at Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, Anuj Dayal says, “There is no accumulation of construction waste due to Metro work at the Yamuna Bridge site”.
However, Dayal given assurance for that any outstanding construction-regarding materials would be completed from the site by the mid-month of June. He also said that the related responses had directed to the irrigation department & DDA already.

Moreover, the Delhi development Authority aims to chair the nodal officers for each & every floodplain stretch for management, preservation, prevention of violation and make the guidelines of proper waste management. 

For slit removal via automated & scientific dredging, the Delhi development Authority has approached the National Mission for Clean Ganga, the Irrigation of Delhi government, & the department of flood control.
