One of the most successful stars of the golden era of Bollywood during 1940, Dilip Kumar’s Pali Hill Bungalow in Mumbai of worth more than 250 crore rupees is being redesigned and restructured by one of the famous names of real estate Ashar Group. The group is aiming to redevelop the vast empire in order to construct a luxury apartment after demolishing the bungalow. They have named the project as ‘The Legend’ for attributing and dedicating an effortless honor to the Bollywood legend. The whole bungalow is spread over a vast land parcel of 1.75 lakh square feet and the posh locality is regarded as the abode of stars in Bandra area of Mumbai having surrounded by houses of late Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, Gulzar, Aamir Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and others.
The real estate group has already commenced their construction work and planned to design a luxurious apartment consisting of 10-11 storey. The apartments will be of 4 BHK or 5 BHK having a carpet area of 3,200 square feet to 7,000 square feet. The pricing of these apartments will range between Rs.1.35 lakh to 1.50 lakh per square feet approximately, which can go up according to the market. The apartment will house a gigantic memoir and museum of 2000 square feet dedicated to Dilip Kumar to commemorate the legendary works of the late actor.
During 2016, Dilip Kumar signed a contract of agreement, with a subsidiary of Ashar Group Black Rock to redevelop his bungalow which is now taken over by Ashar Group. According to that agreement, Black Rock decided to pay in two terms. The first part is worth of 11 lakh rupees, while the second one is worth of 350 crores, this will be in the form of refundable deposit to meet the personal needs of the owner. This land parcel in the name of Dilip Kumar has been in news for more than five years regarding legal disputes. Later the real estate developer decided to construct 15 luxury apartments.The buildings will also consist of several duplex units whose price ranges between Rs.1.35 lakhs to 1.75 lakh per square feet. This luxurious parcel of project is mainly targeted for CEOs CXOs, industrialists, capitalists, actors, NRIs and other high net worth individuals who wants to be a part of that star studded locality of Mumbai’s Pali Hill.
