Bihar govt ties up with Modulus Housing for 20-bed hospital order

Following on securing a Rs 65-crore order from the Bihar government for building a twenty-bed hospital, Modulus housing, a Chennai-based  construction & infrastructure company is gazing at the outlook of securing a contract worth around Rs 500 crore from the state of Bihar. Modulus Housing, the IIT-Madras nurtured start-up is in talks with Bihar government for a project which covers 1,293 locations, and has an expected value to be around Rs. 400 to 500 crore.

The company Modulus Housing offers foldable cabin abodes which overcome infrastructure defies during disaster relief, defense, event management, medical and educational camps, hotels, MSME shops, and laborers housing needs in the sites of construction. The venture will characteristically take on projects of less than 3,000 sq. ft., at around worth Rs. 50 lakh each.

The rapid construction model of Modulus housing allows it to take on and complete construction activity to be finished within two to three operational days, depending on the geographical characters. With proper maintenance, the life span of the construction site would be around 50 years.

Ultimately, the start-up Modulus Housing has built around 3,000 hospital beds across 21 states, and has operated with major patrons including TATA, Lenovo, AIF, and Shapoorji Pallonji. Further the company plans to expand its operations abroad in South Africa.
