An all-Women Engineering Team For building New Ginger Hotel

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has recently inaugurated Ginger Mumbai, Airport. The flagship 371 keys Ginger hotel located near the domestic airport will introduce the brand’s lean luxe design and service philosophy of offering a vibrant, contemporary, and seamless hospitality experience to its guests.

 CEO, IHCL, Puneet Chhatwal, quoted, “The opening of Ginger Mumbai Airport is a significant milestone in the transformation journey of the brand which now has over two third of its operating hotels in the upgraded new lean luxe identity. Having pioneered the segment in India, IHCL is set to launch similar large format hotels at Bengaluru and Goa airports, further revolutionizing the mid-scale hotel category.”

The hotel will contain 371 rooms with a built-up area of over 19,000 sq. m will be constructed over a course of 19 months. The building process will include the latest construction techniques and technologies. Located at a prime location in close proximity to Mumbai Airport and Western Express Highway, this will be a flagship Ginger hotel and is being constructed by one of India's leading construction companies - Tata Projects Limited.

Managing Director, Tata Projects Limited, Mr. Vinayak Deshpande, opined that the ginger hotel is doing good under the leadership of an all-woman team. This commendable endeavor will reflect and encourage the culture of the Company, which encourages women to embrace diverse roles in the workplace. This amazing success of this team is important for motivating more women to build their careers in the construction and engineering sector. Moreover, new technologies such as BIM and 3D is also being deployed to ensure on-time and quality construction.
