Ambuja Cements to spend Rs. 6,000 cr in renewable projects by FY26

India's top cement manufacturing and supplier company, Ambuja Cements (ACL) invests Rs. 6,000 crore in projects based on renewable power by the Financial Year 2026. The company Ambuja Cements has dedicated the investment in renewable power projects that targets a capacity of 1,000 MW. This commitment covers up a miscellaneous collection of projects based solar as well as wind power across the states of Gujarat and Rajasthan.

Currently the company Ambuja Cements is under the development mode through the system of organic and inorganic courses and intends to reach a production capacity of 140 million tpa from the current production capacity 19 percent.

It proposes to use 60 percent of green power share in the total consumption of energy. Exclusively, the projects encompass a 600 MW solar power project, a 150 MW wind power project in Gujarat, and a 250 MW solar power project in Rajasthan.

And this is projected to be accomplished by FY 2026, with the adding up to existing 84 MW capacity of solar and wind power.In addition, ACL (Ambuja Cements) is also improving its WHRS (waste heat recovery systems) capacity from the current 103 MW to 397 MW over a five-year period, which will additionally reduces the cost of power.

Next to its subsidiary Ambuja Cements and recently -acquired Sanghi Industries, ACL possess the capacity of 74.6 MTPA along with eighteen integrated cement manufacturing plants and fourteen cement grinding entities across the nation.
