Adani Green Energy successfully completes the ultimate 775 MW Solar Projects in Gujarat

Adani Green Energy, announced today, that, they will commence the operation of their 775 megawatt solar power projects in Khavda, Gujarat very shortly. In the company’s exchange filing, the capacities of the plant will be operationalized after they get the relevant clearances for authorities. Through its wholly-owned stepdown various subsidiaries Adani Green Energy has commenced an aggregate 775 MW solar power projects at Khavda, Gujarat. 

The company said in an official statement, "Based on the relevant clearances, it was decided at 00:12 am on March 29, 2024 to operationalize the plant and commence power generation from March 29, 2024."The company further added, "Based on the relevant clearances, it was decided at 00:12 am on March 29, 2024 to operationalize the plant and commence power generation from March 29, 2024."  

 

The company also added that, the development comes after the company commissioned a 180 MW solar power plant at Devikot in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. This power plant has a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The plant will produce nearly 540 million electricity units annually and it can satisfy the demand of power for 1.1 lakh homes, and it will also reduce around 0.39 million tons of CO2 emissions. 

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) is a part of Adani Group, which has already operationalized a total of 1,000 Mw of solar energy capacity at the world's largest renewable energy (RE) park at Khavda in Gujarat and it has achieved operational capacity of 9,478 Mw and continues its journey to the stated goal of 45,000 Mw by 2030. This tremendous progress AGEL successfully marked India’s commitment to 500 Gw of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.

In a separate deal, Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries has picked up a 26% stake in Gautam Adani’s Madhya Pradesh power project and signed a pact to use the plants’ 500 MW of electricity for captive use.
