Adani Foundation completes the construction of 'Cement Nala Bund' in Dhakori

The Adani Foundation and ACC Limited, the cement and building materials company in the diversified Adani Portfolio, are committed to the sustainable development and management of water resources.

The company recently completed the construction of a Cement Nala Bund (CNB) in Dhakori, close to its ACC Chanda plant, as part of its CSR efforts. This huge venture expects to address water shortage and advance supportable agrarian practices in the locale.

The availability of water has historically been a problem in Dhakori village, which is in the Wani Block of Yavatmal, Maharashtra. This has had an effect on agricultural productivity and the general quality of life for the locals.

The recently developed CNB in Dhakori brags a noteworthy percolation limit up to 24,000 cubic meters during a solitary flood occasion, fundamentally improving the town's water stockpiling limit.

The CNB gives normal water supply to roughly 220 sections of land of water system region, helping around 100 ranchers. Groundwater levels are raised as a result of this initiative, which also supports agricultural productivity and encourages socioeconomic development in the region's communities.

Additionally, farmers can diversify their crops and increase yields with a more secure water source, enhancing food security and livelihoods. By supporting the conservation and effective utilization of valuable resources like water, ACC and the Adani Foundation are committed to achieving sustainable development and inclusive growth in the communities in which they operate.

As a key subsidiary of Ambuja Cements, ACC Limited is a leading producers of cement and ready to mix concrete in India. The company is a major member of the varied Adani Group – the fast growing and largest portfolio of various sustainable businesses.
