7 New Projects from Hyatt Hotels - India set to witness Global Hospitality

A multinational Hospitality company, Hyatt Hotels is planning to develop its Indian footprint with opening seven new Hotels & adding 1,115 keys across diverse city destinations in 2024.

The hotel chain behind the brands such as Hyatt Regency & Hyatt Place presently operates 49 hotels in the Southwest Asia & allowing for extending its portfolio to more than 55 hotels in the year 2024, including one new property in Bangladesh.

By this, as India is the country has global power in this hospitality sector, the firm fosters to have a evenly handled portfolio in the country and projects the immense phase of growth in next five to seven years.

 

In the month of February, the company launched its ninth brand in India, JdV by Hyatt, which signifies the five major cornerstones for growth-luxury, loyalty, leisure, lifestyle, & wellness.

The vacation & wedding category hotels of the company observed with a y-o-y growth of 50 percent in the 2023.  Backed by its experiential packages that include culinary experiences, spas, overnight camping & action-packed sports events, Hyatt witnessed immense growth.

Sharing his overwhelmed gratitude, Sunjae Sharma, Managing director, India & Southwest Asia, Hyatt India Consultancy says, “I attribute this growth to the change in the mindset of the consumer, which is mainly the Gen-Z and millennials. People are travelling more and that is the silver lining of the pandemic. Increased and improved connectivity, too, is helping boost tourism in the country — particularly domestic tourism”.

Sharma added, “The consumer increasingly is leaning towards new experiences and that is what our focus is going to be. We have identified five cornerstones for growth – luxury, loyalty, leisure, lifestyle, and wellness”.
