In recent years, the usage of luxury surfaces in interior space has become increasingly prominent. The role of surfaces is to add and craft spaces that exude luxury, sophistication, and comfort, transforming an ordinary room into a masterpiece of design. Every surface senses touch and every detail speaks of elegance. Surfaces are more than a visual element, in reality, they are tactile feelings that help humans experience the touch of spaces. It amplifies a sensory journey, where the contrast between smooth and coarse surfaces engages the senses, making the space visually appealing but also emotionally resonant. Thus, the importance of surfaces in architecture and interior design cannot be overstated. Moreover, these elements are the foundation of architecture and interior design, influencing how it looks, feels, and functions in a space. With a deeper understanding of leveraging materials, interior designing firms are adept at creating interiors that are both timeless and on-trend, offering clients.
In architectural interiors, well-designed projects traditionally focus on resolving material carefully considering how different materials meet to encompass the view of the home as a luxury space. This involves deliberate attention to practical factors beyond aesthetic considerations, such as thermal expansion, moisture barriers, material thickness, and construction tolerances. Despite meticulous design and execution, this often becomes the most vulnerable part of interior finishes. These criteria are now being fulfilled a five year old brand HAIQUE. Co- Founded by Siddhanth Lunawath and Saumya Gattani, they are driven by their vision of addressing the global demand for accessible luxury products within the architectural interiors industry. The inception of HAIQUE resulted from a strategic collaboration between two family enterprises, The Aravalli Group, having 5 decades of experience in the mining sector and The Gattani Group, a conglomerate with a wide range of interests spanning from polymers to clean energy. The core mission of HAIQUE is to empower individuals worldwide to embrace elevated living, achieved through cutting-edge technology, innovative processes, and design-centric manufacturing.
HAIQUE is India’s foremost premium Luxury Surfaces brand. Based in Udaipur, Rajasthan, the bedrock of the India’s stone industry, their state of the state-of-the-art units manufacture Quartz surfaces, NEO marble (engineered marble) and Terrazzo surfaces. The House of HAIQUE has now forayed into the growing market of semi-precious slabs and stone finishes, something very exotic and opulent as an organized player. These slabs, made from the finest stones imported from various parts of the world, align with the current trend in the design industry, where there is a strong demand for exotic stone finishes for walls and feature walls.
With the production starting in 2017, the brand HAIQUE was created in 2019 and has never looked back, expanding ever since and operating with Dealer and Distribution network, Kitchen OEMs, Architects, and interior designers all across the country. The group is managed by people who have a long and deep vision of the business and made HAIQUE the only company in India with 91 percent intensive backward integration. From Quartz mining, it’s processing and usage of its in house resin manufacturing, the brand ensures the best quality of the quartz surfaces in the market it operates.
Neo Marble is a term given by the brand HAIQUE for its agglomerated Marble. It is more of a contemporary product used for flooring and framing. One of the largest manufacturers of agglomerated marble in this country, the brand is into ‘Terrazzo’ surfaces as well. Terrazzo has been a popular product in demand by every architect or interior designer and overall design fraternity. The biggest slab under the ‘Make In India’ campaign made by the brand is 325 by 165 centimeters, available in different thicknesses.
Making sure the quality is super consistent and super premium, HAIQUE is considered one of the most premium flooring and framing brands in India, exporting all their products to national and international grounds
To increase their product portfolio, ARC by HAIQUE is a division for exotic stone finishes. This sub brand under the HAIQUE Umbrella uses the best of the stones sourced worldwide and offers in various finishes. Their Petrified Wood is a pure embodiment of Style and Luxury combined in one stone.
Siddhanth Lunawath, Co-Founder, HAIQUE shares, “Basically, our group is almost 50 years old and will be completing 50 years of hard work and dedication in 2025. I’m the third generation business owner here and my granddad started this legacy. So, we come from a mining background, mining into minerals and marble then granite. This is how our journey with my granddad began, with mining for soapstone, a product that goes for talcum powder and medicinal purposes. And then later we explored mining in marbles”.
The company also mine Indian onyx marble, which is also one of a kind and the brand holds the monopoly of that particular marble in the world. After that, they also explored a few granite mines as well. Later on, after all of the natural marbles, they decided to venture into engineered ones, which is their engineered quartz and engineered marble.
Siddhanth Lunawath further adds, “We make sure our customers get the best quality and best countertops for their homes and luxury spaces because that’s the avenue we are in. Quality is our number one priority, no matter the material and products we sell, including natural marble, granite, quartz surfaces, agglomerated marble, cerago, semi-precious stones, or exotic stone finishes”.
The brand HAIQUE consistently aims to continuously evolve. Their innovation level is really high and timeless. Therefore, whatever they did or whatever they are doing today is not because it is trending, but because they started thinking of the future or predicting what’s going to the future via strict R&D.
The co-founder concludes, “We have always thought of the future as our best friend and we want to work in the future rather than just working on the trends which are running today. If I want to launch something maybe three months down the line, that collection should be inspired by the design that has already been going on in some other countries. These are the kind of things we like to do, and we want to keep evolving the products we are dealing in. Now we have ARC by HAIQUE, which is a stone finished product. So, the focus is on doing finishes on our Quartz, engineered marble, and Terrazzo surfaces that no one in this country has been doing till now”.
