Led by the visionary team of Sonal and Piyush Agrawal at SPDC Raipur, this residence epitomises a balance of all the design elements. It ensures that every corner of Oakvilla narrates a tale of impeccable planning, execution, and commitment to fulfilling the dreams and aspirations of its residents.
From the outset, Oakvilla's design journey was defined by a deep understanding of the client's aspirations and a resolve to address their specific needs. Owned by Mr. and Mrs. Jain, the project began with a focus on rectifying Vastu issues and overcoming functional challenges around Vastu. This translated into a design concept tailored to resonate with the client's vision, ensuring every aspect of the home reflected their desires.
Spanning a plot size of 1850 sqft., with a total carpet area of 3900 sqft., Oakvilla underwent significant structural changes to meet the functional demands of its inhabitants. Addressing Vastu's concerns and integrating an additional floor for their son through vertical zoning necessitated thorough planning and precise execution. These modifications not only enhanced the functionality of the space but also added a layer of structural integrity to the residence. The ground floor underwent a transformation to accommodate common spaces like the formal and informal living rooms, kitchen, guest bedroom, and pooja room. The first floor transitioned into the private domain of Mr. and Mrs. Jain, featuring their bedroom, a library, and a home gym/entertainment room. Meanwhile, the second floor was fashioned into a mini-penthouse for the son, complete with a bedroom, living room, kitchenette, and an open-air jacuzzi.
As one steps into this home, they are enveloped in the essence of contemporary design elements and opulent accents with a strong emphasis on Oakwood as a material binding the overall design concept of the house. The ground floor welcomes guests with its inviting ambience, featuring formal and informal living spaces, a well-appointed kitchen, a guest bedroom, and a tranquil pooja room. Transitioning to the first floor unveils the private sanctuary of Mr. and Mrs. Jain, boasting a serene bedroom, a cozy library, and a fully-equipped home gym and entertainment area.
The second floor, reminiscent of a mini-penthouse, caters to the son's lifestyle preferences, offering a stylish bedroom, a chic living space with an attached kitchenette, and a captivating open-air landscaped jacuzzi. The integration of an open-air terrace lounge completes the experience, providing a versatile space for hosting gatherings and culinary escapades. As for Oakwood, it is spread in an array of manners across this sprawling space; be it in the form of fluted wall panellings or the headboards of the bed or the frame of the main door, you will find Oakwood accents in every nook of this home justifying its name; Oakvilla.
The open-floor architectural language of the residence reflects a commitment to timeless simplicity and refined luxury. Throughout the home, a consistent theme of straight-line design prevails, accentuated by the prominent use of Oakwood and premium marble finishes such as white Satuario and Armani grey. Muted grey wall tiles not only mitigate seepage concerns but also serve as a neutral backdrop, allowing the rich textures of Oakwood to shine. A muted palette of greys and whites forms the foundation of Oakvilla's interior design, allowing the inherent beauty of Oakwood to take center stage. Splashes of wine, sage, aqua, ochre yellow, and charcoal inject vibrancy and depth into the space, creating a harmonious balance between tranquility and vivacity.
For Piyush and Sonal, the informal living area serves as a personal favourite, embodying their core design philosophy of creating spaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and deeply functional. The open kitchen design fosters interaction and flexibility, reflecting a commitment to tailored design solutions that cater to the unique lifestyle of the inhabitants. From its attention to Vastu principles to its thoughtful integration of subtle design elements and muted hues, Oakvilla represents the epitome of modern living.
