Designed by the visionary Ar. Anupriya Sahu, Atamai, meaning "Intellectual" in Samoan, reflects Alankaram's commitment to blending artistry with functional elegance.

This limited-edition creation is dedicated to Grandmaster Gukesh, a rising star in the world of chess and a beacon of inspiration for aspiring minds worldwide.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the design, Ar. Anupriya Sahu, Founder and Design Head of Alankaram, shared, "It took us one month to design and produce this masterpiece. This set is a tribute to Gukesh’s dedication, his talent, and the inspiration he provides to chess enthusiasts and intellectuals globally."

The centrepiece of this extraordinary set is a majestic teakwood table, meticulously crafted in the form of a king. The table features an intricately inlaid chessboard, making it both a functional game table and an exquisite statement piece for collectors.

Complementing the centrepiece are three sculptural side tables, each inspired by iconic chess pieces: the queen, the rook, and the pawn.
