Premier Energies grabs Rs.215 crore order for solar water pumps in Uttar Pradesh

On September 9th, Premier Energies Ltd disclosed that they had been contracted by the Uttar Pradesh Department of Agriculture to furnish and run over 8,000 solar water pumping setups throughout several regions statewide.

As per a filing on the stock exchange, it has been notified that our company has secured an order from the Uttar Pradesh Department of Agriculture for supplying, installing and commissioning 8,085 solar water pumping systems across different districts in the state.

This project is worth Rs.215 Crore and comes with a comprehensive warranty covering five years. The deadline set for its completion is March 2025.

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) Scheme's Component-B is designed to boost the energy security of Indian farmers. It also aligns with India's plan to raise the proportion of power generated from non-fossil fuel sources, reaching 40% by 2030 in line with their Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs).

Premier Energies is a solar module and cell manufacturer that offers an integrated solution. With almost 30 years of industry experience, the company has five manufacturing facilities capable of producing 2 GW for solar cells and 4.13 GW for solar modules each year.

As of FY24, Premier Energies generated revenue worth Rs.3,143 crore from operations, a significant increase compared to their previous fiscal year's value of Rs.1,428 crore.

On the BSE, Premier Energies Ltd's shares concluded at Rs.1,206.50 with a rise of Rs.111.10 or 10.14%.
