Last minute Flight Cancellation: Kerala Passengers protests against Air India

Today May 08, Wednesday, the passengers of Air India Express flights in Kerala stepped into protest against the last minute flight cancellations by the company.

Especially passengers travelling to the Gulf nations were claimed that they have gotten update on the flight cancellation only after they finished their security check while they were waiting to board the flight.

One women subjected to this matter stated that she had been waiting at the airport from Tuesday night, as her flight was slated to leave for Sharjah. She complained that there is no any accommodation or related services were offered to them by the Air India’s board. 

 

Similarly, another women who had registered the tickets to see her husband in the Muscat hospital stated that she was informed about the flight cancellation only in this morning after she arrived to the Kannur airport.

The airline, in its statement, sincerely apologized to passengers for this unexpected disruption and emphasized that this situation does not reflect the standard of service it strives to provide.

The official sourced subjected to this matter said that some cabin members in the crew started informing sick from Monday evening & as there are not considerable cabin crew members, "scores of flights" have been negated at diverse airports such as Calicut, Kochi, & Kannur.

Far after this, the Air India released a statement, "A section of our cabin crew has reported sick at the last minute, starting last night, resulting in flight delays and cancellations. While we are engaging with the crew to understand the reasons behind these occurrences, our teams are actively addressing this issue to minimize any inconvenience caused to our guests as a result”.
