Ecoearth: Transforming Homes by Merging Technology, Art & Sustainability

In the fast-paced world of technological advancements, our homes are becoming smarter and more integrated with innovative solutions. The year 2024 is set to be a remarkable period for smart home trends, where artificial intelligence, machine learning, and increased accessibility are revolutionizing the way we live. Among the vanguard of this movement is Ecoearth, a company redefining the lighting industry with its LED products that blend beauty, efficiency, and sustainability.

Ecoearth’s Lighting Products show how everyday objects can become art. The company has spent a lot of time and hired top minds to create a variety of LED lighting products that maximize their potential. These products, designed and made in-house, are affordable and attractive, combining energy efficiency and beauty. Its LED lights brighten, beautify, and save energy, making spaces safer, healthier, and more sustainable. Additionally, the brand uses energy wisely. Their Advanced LED Systems output more light with less energy, saving carbon and money. These cool lights last over 50,000 hours and prevent infrared and ultraviolet emissions in public spaces. Ecoearth also uses innovative light-direction methods to reduce glare and overspill.

“Inspired by the universe, our designs incorporate elegant flowing lines, refined finishes, and carefully chosen materials. Each LED product is given a dedicated name and undergoes continuous improvement, with new versions released annually. To enhance user convenience, the packaging follows a color code corresponding to specific wattages, making selection easier for consumers”, explains Divyansh Batra, Director.

Beyond their product supply, Ecoearth has revolutionized the smart home industry with its latest range of Bluetooth-controlled smart lighting and smart screens. Their new lighting system offers an impressive 16 million color options and dimmable luminaries, all controllable via an app or remote control.

The standout feature is the ability to create and control groups of lights simultaneously, making it easier than ever to customize your home’s ambiance. Its innovative Neo gateway allows these lights to be operated through voice commands via Google Home or Alexa. Additionally, the newly launched Neo Hubs replace traditional switchboards, offering smart screens with built-in Alexa for seamless control of all your devices. With this comprehensive range, the firm is making it easier for every home to become smart, from lighting to security.

Innovation Rooted in Tradition

Ecoearth, a 100 percent subsidiary of Brahma Auto Industries, started in 2016. Brahma Auto Industries, a 30-year-old company, has been catering to the automobile segment, making injection-molded components and electrical assemblies for the two-wheeler industry in India. The idea of launching Ecoearth was driven by the influx of Chinese products in the market. The brand sought to create its product line and designs, leading to the development of German lighting in 2016. By 2017, the company began manufacturing its smart lighting, becoming the first company in India to do so.

The inspiration behind Ecoearth’s name and mission was to simplify the process of making homes smart. Traditional smart home technology requires extensive wiring and central hubs, making it complicated and expensive. The company aimed to create plug-and-play devices that did not require extra wiring, using technologies like WiFi and Bluetooth to ensure smooth operation. Their smart home devices can be controlled from anywhere via mobile devices, remote controls, and voice commands through Alexa and Google Home.

“Our core values emphasize in-house manufacturing, cost-effectiveness, and quality. Our products are designed, developed, and made entirely in-house, ensuring high standards and independence from external sources. Our vision is to be the market leader in smart lighting, combining robust quality with cost-effectiveness to provide the best products for their customers”, adds Divyansh.

Navigating Challenges & Embracing Milestones

Ecoearth’s journey has not been without challenges. Continuous product development involves significant investment in research and development. However, the positive feedback and market appreciation keep them motivated. The company invests heavily in R&D, collecting samples, developing prototypes, and incorporating customer feedback to refine its products.

Despite these challenges, Ecoearth has achieved great things in smart home automation. They have India’s largest smart lighting selection, including Bluetooth lights launched at the VR World Expo in Bangalore. These inexpensive lights can change colors with a single command and are controlled by mobile apps and remotes. The company’s innovation has lowered luminary prices from 1000 rupees to nearly 300 rupees, making smart lighting more affordable. Its product range includes 150 SKUs of lighting, covering downlighters, LED strips, surface-mounted fittings, recessed downlighters, and more. Their products are designed for various environments, ensuring high quality and effectiveness through rigorous testing and ISO certifications. The brand’s strategy includes training electricians, expanding its distribution network, and reaching out to architects and interior designers to educate them about its products.

A Vision for the Future

Ecoearth’s vision is to be the market leader in smart lighting. Their products are already making a positive impact in cities, car parks, industries, hotels, and homes worldwide, enhancing the quality of life for millions. As the company expands its distribution network and reaches out to architects, interior designers, and lighting consultants, it aims to bring innovative solutions to more customers. “Our brand for smart lighting, Neo, has been primarily sold online through platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, and our e-commerce website, shopEcoearth.com. We are now expanding into offline distribution, with products placed with over 4000 resellers and targeting new markets and projects”, concludes Divyansh.
