Ramco Cements enlarges the clinker capacity in A P plant

India’ s leading Cement Company Ramco Cements (RCL) increases the capacity of clinker manufacturing by 0.65 MTPA (million tonne per annum) through enhancing the performances of its pyro processing system in Andhra Pradesh plant. Currently the A.P plant is situated at Kolimigundla in the district of Nandyal district operating with 100 percent capacity.

By means of this de-bottlenecking move, the revised clinkerisation capacity of the company has now achieved 3.15 MTPA (million tonne per annum). The other expansion programs of Ramco Cement's are underneath different stages of development. And in the meantime, the APPCB (Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board) has approved consent for the company to operate the Kolimigundla plant.

Towards capital expenditure along its ongoing projects, the company Ramco Cements has planned to put on Rs. 1,600 crore in the financial year 2024 and Rs. 200-250 crore in the financial year 2025.

In addition, the expanding capacity of Ramco Cement's Kolimigundla thermal power plant with 18 MW is probably made to order in this month and the railway siding to commissioned in June month of next year. And the capacity expansion of dry mix products in Andhra Pradesh and Odisha would be made to order during the month of December this year. Moreover, the capacity expansion of the grinding unit in Odisha from 0.9 mtpa to 1.8 mtpa in Odisha is expected to be commissioned by the year January 2024.
