Ambuja Cements allots Rs.1,600 crore to set-up Cement Grinding Unit in Bihar

Owned by Adani Cement, Ambuja Cements plans to put Rs.1, 600 crore in Bihar for a cement grinding unit. The state's expanding infrastructure requirements will be met by the Warisaliganj unit, which has a total capacity of six MTPA.

The project will take place in the village of Mosama in the Warisaliganj tehsil of the Nawada district of Bihar. The site is well connected to the road and rail network.

The project will be carried out over the course of three phases, with the first phase, which involves an investment of Rs.1, 100 crore and a capacity of 2.4 MTPA, expected to be operational by December 2025.

In addition, it will be commissioned at a significantly lower capital expenditure in due course due to the availability of sufficient land for future expansion.

It has the potential to generate 1,000 opportunities for indirect employment and 250 direct jobs. Bihar Industrial Area Development - BIADA has proactively allocated 67.90 sections of land for this concrete unit for which Environmental Clearance - EC has been acquired for work on the site.

Muzaffarpur will also get another cement plant in the future. Not only is this the largest cement industry investment for the state, but it is also the Adani Group's first investment in the state.
