Home Cleaning Tools maker FGHP scales-up Production Space in Adas

In Adas, Gujarat, Freudenberg Gala Household Products (FGHP) has increased the size of its office and production space. The opening is a significant step in expanding the site's ability to satisfy the rising demand for cutting-edge home goods in India and globally.

The new production space, which is more than 3086 square meters in size, is used to make foot pedals and floor cleaning supplies for spin mop machines. The spin mops will be offered for sale under the Gala brand, which is India's top cleaning brand. The foot pedals are meant to be included into cleaning products that are marketed in the US.

The expansion increases the current capacity of 20 million brooms and brushes to five million foot pedals and more than one million spin mops.

Jatin Gala, General Manager India, FGHP says, "By expanding our premises, we dramatically enhance production capabilities and efficiency while streamlining processes. We can now satisfy the growing demand for spin mops at home thanks to this. Additionally, by providing pedals for our O-Cedar products in the US, we further solidify the site's reputation as a center for innovation and productivity within FHCS”.

21 molding machines, two spin mop assembly lines, and five state-of-the-art pedal manufacturing lines will all be housed in the new production area. The website maintains its ISO-14001 and ISO-45001 certifications, demonstrating its commitment to the highest environmental and quality standards. The local teams will have a contemporary, cooperative workspace in a brand-new, three-story office building.

After Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions and the Mumbai-based business Gala Brush entered into a joint venture agreement, Freudenberg Gala Household Products Pvt. Ltd. was established in 2009. Since its establishment in 2011, the Adas production site—which accounts for 35% of FGHP's turnover—has developed into a significant factor in the joint venture's success.
