The German tyre brand Continental is all set to exhibit the Installation work of 'Circle of Trust' at the Dubai Design Week from November 7 to 12. The art installation uses discarded Continental Tyres giving the rubber which reached the end of their purpose a new life. This has been designed by renowned artist Moey.
More than 100 people both public and from the media shared their thoughts on trust during exclusive interviews conducted by Moey. The uniqueness of all the thoughts is that, their responses have been inscribed into each tyre, adding a deep personal dimension to the installation of the art. The process is called upcycling - allows these tyres to be used again which were otherwise considered to be waste. Here the tyres have been used as an inspiring canvas for creativity.
Regarding the installation MD of Continental Middle East, Jose De La Fuente said, "We believe in giving discarded tyres a second chance, just as we believe in the power of trust. The Circle of Trust symbolises our commitment to sustainability and trustworthiness in the tyre industry."
Moey, who is a UAE-based conceptual artist, shared her experiences saying, “In these discarded tyres, I find the potential for art to transcend its conventional boundaries. Each inscription is a testament to the trust we place in one another, a beautiful reminder of the deep connections that bind humans together. The Circle of Trust is about giving new life to the old and celebrating the stories of trust that unite us."
This truly tremendous artform ‘The Circle of Trust’ embodies the different voices that make up the cultural diversity of Dubai. It's a celebration of unity in diversity, as participants from various backgrounds come together to share their unique perspectives on trust. The project centers around cultural, social, and demographic boundaries, focusing on the fact that trust is a universal thread that connects us all.
