Casa Decor seeks to expand its offline business in India and aims to earn Rs 200 crore this fiscal year

Casa Decor, a home decorative hardware and accessories brand is eyeing Rs 200 crore revenue in this fiscal from its domestic and export business, Niraj Johri, founder and CEO of the company told. In the last fiscal, the company's overall revenue stood at Rs 170 crore, it shared. Presently, the firm's most of the business comes from exports from countries including the US, UAE, Europe, Germany, and the UK, contributing 85 percent to its overall revenue, and the remaining 15 percent of revenue is generated from its domestic operations that include marketplaces, its website and shop-in-shop models.

The home decor firm hopes the revenue contribution to increase from the domestic market as it plans to expand its offline presence this year with its own stores in cities including Noida and Gurugram and subsequently in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and

Hyderabad. Speaking more about its India business, Johri shared that about Rs 10 crore revenue is generated from domestic sales and e-commerce channels are the major contributors to its annual turnover.

He expects the India market to contribute Rs 30 crore to its overall revenue in this fiscal as the main focus will be its omnichannel growth. On its growing categories, Johri elaborated that the categories that contribute about 70 percent of the business are the kitchen and garden categories and the rest 30 percent is a mix of other decor and decorating hardware. Highlighting the overall business approach, Johri said the company is present in both B2B and B2C markets. And B2B is the market from where most of its business comes. Gifting for corporates is one of the biggest parts of its business. Also, furniture contributes a similar percentage to its overall business and the remaining part is from decor.

Shedding some light on innovations and technology usage, the company shared that there is an increase in usage of tools such as ChatGPT and OpenAI across the globe. So, it also intends to use them more to style and modify their product and content. On the overall product offerings, Johri said, "We are a mass premium brand but our designs and offerings are premium. We offer value-driven products which can be utilized in different ways." Currently, the company sells knobs, table tops, globes, coasters, and several handmade decor products by local artisans.
