When the summer is at its peak, we cannot afford to be tired and sick. As the mercury is shooting up, the productivity level of us is going down at the same pace. The hot and humid summer is draining out the last drop of energy and making us literally exhausted after ending a brainstorming working session at our workplace. When we reach our home after a tiring day, we need some energy pills which can rejuvenate our body, mind and senses.

As the most convenient source of gadget, Air condition is the top most priority in every home which can bring us back to our senses beating this scorching effect of heat. Whenever we decorate our home, we keep a note, that it will be functional, trendy and make sure it would reflect aesthetic vibes at the same time. Long summer and intensifying effect of global warming is inviting us to stay indoors during the day.

Don’t let this summer shed the sweat & drain out your energy, blast the roar of summer & get a frosty fix to drive it away

Set a Tub of Water with Flower

Now-a-days we use variety of home decor items to add magnificent beauty to the living space. Flower decoration is one of the widely used and finest among all. It not only creates a welcoming vibe but adds a sweet fragrance to your home. Now, if you put a decorative flower pot or flower vase, full of water and add some flower in it, and place it on a corner table or center table it will diffuse a natural fragrance, alongside the water of the pot will evaporate from time to time which will bring the temperature down. We can add flowers like roses, lilies, hibiscus, and chrysanthemums for this.

Replace the Light Fixtures

Incandescent light bulbs are obsolete now, these lights consumes more energy, increase your electricity bill as well the room temperature. If you replace those light bulbs with modern LEDs it will save your energy and prevent the surrounding from getting warmer.

Swap the Dark Colors with Light Shades

Scientifically proven that, white or light shades reflect the heat, while the darker shades absorb the heat and get warmer. So, if we replace the darker shades of home decors with the lighter ones, it will knock the heat of the living space.

“Trending colours of the summers are a mix of pista green, blush pink, mint interspersed with navy blue and marigold. Another major trend to emerge this summer is a touch of metallic accents on the dining area”, -Neeti Chopra, Founder, Neeti's Linen Library

Install a Cool Roof Treatment

Roof plays a key role in controlling the temperature of the house. The floor of the roof absorbs the radiant heat of the sun and then diffuses the heat inside the room. This is the reason the ceiling fan produces hot air in the afternoon and evening. Cool roof can be attained using cool roof paint which is a type of acrylic paint known for its flexibility and breathability. If we coat the floor tiles of the roof with lime wash, it will also help to reduce the temperature. We can also create terrace garden with a wide variety of trees and flowers.

Apart from these natural coolants, few gadgets are also used to provide us stress-free, rejuvenated as well as hydrated in this summer season.
