YEIDA set to unveil Housing Plots Scheme in upcoming Financial Year

To meet the growing demand for housing plots near the upcoming Noida International Airport, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is likely to introduce a new plot scheme in the next financial year.

The proposed scheme may offer residential plots in Sector 18, located off the Yamuna Expressway.

It will be launched once the required notifications are issued and registration with the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) is complete.

In December 2024, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate the Noida International Airport in Jewar, with operations set to begin by April 2025.

In 2024, YEIDA launched two residential plot schemes that drew overwhelming responses. A scheme in July offering 361 plots attracted over two lakh applications, while another in November offering 451 plots received more than one lakh applications. The upcoming initiative would mark the third such scheme by YEIDA.

Additionally, YEIDA introduced a group housing plot scheme in November 2024, which offered 20 plots across sectors 22D (nine plots), 18 (six plots), and 17 (five plots). The scheme closed on December 18, 2024. According to real estate experts, once allotted, these plots could yield a housing stock of approximately 25,000 to 30,000 units.

Earlier schemes have seen significant interest due to the strategic location near the airport, with sectors 16, 18, 20, 22D, and 24A being popular choices. YEIDA’s continued focus on residential development aims to meet the region's rising demand for well-located housing options.
