Sun Pharma MD's Wife buys 2 Apartments worth Rs. 130 crore in Mumbai

According to records obtained by Zapkey, Vibha Shanghvi, the spouse of Dilip Shanghvi, the chairman and managing director of Sun Pharma, has spent Rs. 130 crore on two apartments in the Worli neighborhood of Mumbai.

The records state that the two residences are a part of the Naman Group's Naman Xana project on the Worli Sea Face.

The documents show that Vibha Sanghvi bought the two flats, which included 12,916 square feet of RERA carpet.

According to the paperwork, there are eight parking spaces available for both flats.

A 6,458-square-foot apartment on the 21st floor was bought for Rs. 65 crore, and on December 26, a second unit of the same size was registered on the 29th floor for Rs. 65 crore.

According to property registration data seen by Indextap, the same building made headlines earlier this month when Neerav Parekh, the chairman of the Barnsley Football Club, and his mother Kalpana Parekh bought two apartments in the Worli neighborhood of Mumbai for Rs. 170 crore.

After South Mumbai, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi, and Bandra, Worli in central Mumbai has emerged as a popular location for a number of upscale developments. There are a few of projects in the micro market that cost more than Rs. 1 lakh per square foot.

According to a research by CBRE South Asia titled India Market Monitor Q3 2024-Residential, sales of luxury housing, which comprises units priced at Rs. 4 crore and above, increased by over 37.8% year over year during the January–September 2024 period due to strong demand.
