Cricketer Rohit Sharma and his father, Gurunath Sharma, have leased out their apartment in Mumbai’s Lower Parel for Rs. 2.60 lakh per month, as per property registration documents accessed by Zapkey.com.
The 1,298 sq. ft. apartment is on the 45th floor of Lodha Marquise, part of The Park project by Lodha Group.
The lease agreement, registered on January 27, includes two parking spaces and has been rented to Murali Krishnan Nair. The transaction involved a stamp duty payment of Rs. 16,300 and a registration fee of Rs. 1,000.
According to the documents, Rohit Sharma and his father originally purchased the apartment from Lodha Group in July 2013 for Rs. 5.45 crore. Efforts to reach Rohit Sharma for a statement are ongoing, and Murali Krishnan Nair was unavailable for comment.
Earlier, in January 2024, Sharma had leased out two apartments in Bandra West at a monthly rent of Rs. 3 lakh each for three years. The agreement stated that the rent would increase annually, with Rs. 3.1 lakh in the first year, Rs. 3.25 lakh in the second year, and Rs. 3.41 lakh in the third year.
Additionally, documents sourced by Zapkey.com reveal that Sharma had sold a property in Lonavala for Rs. 5.25 crore in June 2021. The Lonavala property spanned 6,329 sq. ft.
The cricketer’s recent real estate transactions indicate active property management, with multiple lease and sale agreements in prime locations across Mumbai and Maharashtra.
