The family of Raj Chodankar, founder and chairman of RRP Electronics, recently purchased a luxury apartment in Mumbai's Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) for nearly Rs. 34 crore.

The property, located on the 17th floor of the ultra-premium Signia Pearl tower, spans 3,132 square feet. The acquisition was made through Chodankar's wife, Priyanka, and son, Anay Chodankar.

According to documents accessed via Zapkey.com, the family paid a stamp duty of Rs. 1.90 crore for the transaction, which was registered on December 26.

RRP Electronics, which specializes in electronics solutions, has recently garnered attention for its ambitious plans to invest over Rs. 5,000 crore to establish a semiconductor manufacturing plant in Maharashtra.

In addition, the company has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Taiwan's AMB for the production of memory chips, further expanding its reach in the technology sector.

Mumbai’s real estate market continues to thrive, with residential property sales across the country's top eight cities reaching unprecedented levels in 2024. The demand across mid-income, premium, and luxury segments has surged, and this trend is expected to continue as the year closes with record-breaking sales figures.

Mumbai remains the largest and most expensive property market in India, solidifying its position with high-value transactions. Despite challenges, the city continues to attract substantial investments, reflecting its status as a key player in the luxury real estate sector.
