PM Modi leads the Launch of key Housing Development Projects in Delhi

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil a number of development initiatives, including two urban redevelopment projects in the city and 1,675 apartments for JJ cluster residents.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), Modi will visit the recently built apartments for residents of Jhuggi Jhopri (JJ) clusters as part of the Swabhiman Apartments slum redevelopment project in Ashok Vihar, Delhi, and give the keys to the qualified recipients.

According to the PMO, he will open 1,675 freshly built apartments, which is in keeping with the prime minister's "housing for everyone" plan.

The project's goal is to give the people who live in Delhi's JJ clusters a better, healthier living space with all the services and conveniences they need.

According to the report, the qualified beneficiaries pay less than 7% of the total amount spent by the Central government on the construction of an apartment, which includes Rs. 30,000 for five years of maintenance and Rs. 1.42 lakh as a minimum contribution.

The BJP-led government's effort for development at the federal level coincides with the anticipated February assembly elections in Delhi.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which has ruled the city since 2013, and the BJP are engaged in a fierce political battle and are working tirelessly to overthrow it.

Additionally, Modi will open two urban rehabilitation projects on Friday: the General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) type-II quarters in Sarojini Nagar and the World Trade Centre (WTC) in Nauroji Nagar.

According to the statement, the World Trade Centre has completely changed the area by erecting modern commercial towers in place of more than 600 run-down apartments, providing around 34 lakh square feet of first-rate commercial space with cutting-edge services.

With features including a zero-discharge concept, solar energy generation, and rainwater harvesting systems, the project integrates green building techniques.

With 28 towers housing more than 2,500 residential apartments and contemporary facilities, the GPRA type-II quarters make effective use of available space.

According to the statement, the project's design integrates solar-powered garbage compactors, sewage and water treatment facilities, and rainfall harvesting systems to promote environmentally conscious living.

Additionally, Modi will open the CBSE's integrated office complex in Dwarka, which was constructed for about Rs. 300 crore. Among other things, it has an auditorium, offices, a state-of-the-art computer center, and an extensive water management system.

According to the statement, the environmentally friendly structure was designed in accordance with the Indian Green Building Council's Platinum Rating guidelines and was built to strict environmental standards.

The prime minister will also lay the groundwork for three new projects at Delhi University totaling more than Rs. 600 crore.
