More than Four lakh property owners were given a property card with unique identification number by BBMP

A digitized and georeferenced property card with a unique identification number of the property was issued for more than four lakh property owners situated under the territory of Urban Property Ownership Records (UPOR). This gigantic project was started in 2022. This card was also approved by revenue department, will contain all the detail of the property. The respective authority is planning to issue such property cards for over 25 lakh property owners within the purview of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar Palike (BBMP). The UPOR card will be used by the employees of Survey Settlement and Land Record (SSLR). Each and every project will be thoroughly examined with their boundaries by using drone cameras. Till now 158 wards got examined out of total 192wards, and the rest of the examining will be done in next few months.

This kind of property card will help the owner to have a genuine record digitally with the government.

The authority of Survey Settlement and Land Record has already collected the information about all the properties from Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar Palike(BBMP), while the drone camera has already completed its work of scanning the geographical areas of the lands of nearly 15lakh projects. As soon as the drone completed its scanning the property owner got the notification about the visit of an officer for measuring their property. During the visit, the officer will ask about the documents of the property like sale deed, tax payment receipt, encumbrance certificate, copy of BBMP khata, allotment paper, possession certificate, alienation order copy, copy of approved layout plan, owner's photograph, and property picture.

After completion of the whole process the Survey Settlement and Land Record officials will prepare a draft Urban Property Ownership Records card. The owner then should check and notify the respective authorities if there needs to be any change. After completion of 30 days of verification process the owner will receive the original card.
