Metro Brands Supporters Zia Malik Lalji & Alisha Rafiq Malik buys Worli Apartments for Rs. 162 crore

The documents state that the two opulent apartments are housed in Palais Royal, one of Mumbai's tallest structures, which is being built by Honest Shelters Private Limited.

The 45th floor houses the two apartments. According to the documents, a stamp duty of Rs. 4.05 crore was paid for the five car parking spaces that come with the first apartment, which is 7,564 square feet and was bought for Rs. 81 crores.

The second apartment, which is 7,687 square feet in size, cost Rs. 81 crores to buy and includes five parking spaces. Rs. 4.05 crore was paid in stamp duty for this purchase. On December 20, both apartments were registered. 

Five Metro Brands Ltd. promoters reportedly sold a stake worth Rs. 749.7 crore through open market transactions in September 2024.

At least two well-known transactions have been recorded in the Worli region in December alone.

Neerav Parekh, the chairman of Barnsley Football Club, and his mother Kalpana Parekh paid Rs. 170 crores for two apartments in Mumbai's Worli neighborhood. Both apartments were registered on December 5 and 7, per property registration documents that Indextap was able to access.

Property registration documents viewed by IndexTap show that on December 11, Seema Singh, the wife of Alkem Laboratories promoter Mritunjay Kumar Singh, paid Rs. 185 crores for a luxurious apartment in Mumbai's Worli neighborhood.

Worli, located in central Mumbai, has emerged as a prime destination for luxury real estate developments, following areas like South Mumbai, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi, and Bandra. The micro-market features numerous projects priced above Rs. 1 lakh per square foot.
