Liquor Maker Hermes Distillery Shatters Record! Buys 10 High-Cost Homes from Prestige Estates

According to property registration records obtained by Square Yards, liquor manufacturer Hermes Distillery Pvt. Ltd. paid Rs. 199.35 crore for ten units of opulent flats in Marine Lines, South Mumbai.

Bengaluru-based Prestige Estates has acquired ten opulent apartments in the Prestige Ocean Tower complex.

The building's 37th, 38th, 39th, 40th, and 41st floors house the ten apartments. According to documents that SquareYards was able to get, the total built-up space of all the units is 25,650 square feet.

The transactions were registered on January 2, 2025, and Rs. 3 lakh was paid in registration costs after a total stamp duty of Rs. 11.96 crore for the 10 flats was paid.

"The transaction value per unit ranges from Rs. 19.39 crore to Rs. 20.54 crore, with the total transaction cost amounting to Rs. 199.34 crore," SquareYards said in a statement.

Thirty parking spaces were included with the purchase of the ten flats.

Prestige Ocean Towers is a recently opened residential development by Prestige Projects Private Limited that spans 2.3 acres and offers 2 and 3 BHK apartments, per RERA data.

Based in Belgaum, Karnataka, India, Hermes Distillery Private Limited is a well-known beverage maker that was founded in 2008. The company manufactures a variety of alcoholic drinks, such as brandy, vodka, rum, and whiskey. Its manufacturing facility is situated on Ankli-Raibag Road in Raibag, Belgaum.

One of South Mumbai's most upscale residential areas is Marine Lines. It is well-known for its upscale residences, business buildings, and close proximity to important commercial districts like Churchgate and Fort.

With a view of the Arabian Sea, the neighborhood is home to famous sites including Marine Drive and Art Deco structures that have been recognized by UNESCO. It has excellent access to the suburban train station, the Mumbai Coastal Road Project, and the soon-to-be Mumbai Metro-3 project.
