Last day to apply for MHADA Housing Lottery - 1 lakh Applications crossed already!

Applications for the more than 2,000 affordable homes in the housing sector announced by MHADA Mumbai Lottery 2024 are being accepted starting on August 9. For the MHADA lottery 2024, which opened to the public in August, the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has received over one lakh applications for 2,030 affordable homes in Mumbai. The lottery for housing ends today.

The MHADA 2023 housing lottery received over 1 lakh applications in total for over 4,000 affordable homes.

In the month of August 2024, the MHADA announced a lottery for over 2,000 affordable dwellings, for which applications would be accepted beginning on the month of August 9.

According to MHADA officials, the MHADA lottery 2024 application process is entirely online, and homebuyers can monitor lottery-related updates on their official website.

The price range for flats in the MHADA lottery 2024 is between Rs.29 lakh and Rs.6.82 crore.

On August 29, the MHADA declared that 370 affordable homes included in the ongoing housing lottery would have their prices lowered by 10% to 25%. As of September 18, 1.10 lakh applications had been submitted, and 86,288 of those applicants had paid the earnest money deposit (EMD) that was necessary to secure the apartments, according to data provided by MHADA.

The flats available for purchase in the MHADA lottery 2024 range in price from Rs. 29 lakh to Rs. 6.82 crore. The majority of units in the higher income group (HIG) are available for between Rs. 1 crore and Rs. 6 crore or more. These may be found, among other places, in Andheri, Antop Hill, Juhu, Goregaon, Tardeo, Vikhroli, and Powai.

The most expensive of them is a 6,82-square-foot apartment in the Tardeo neighborhood of south Mumbai, which is valued at Rs. 6.82 crore. This flat is on a higher floor, fully furnished, with a view of the sea and the Mahalaxmi Racecourse from the building.
