According to the Real Estate consultancy firm, Anarock’s Research data, there are more than 25,000 new apartments were completed in Kolkata in the year 2023. And the city has 25,220 new apartment units lined up for finishing point in 2024.
The data of last year comes in the stir of record home sales that last year had led to a decline in inventory & prompted developers to introduce new projects.
In the previous year, the real estate market of Kolkata had registered an extraordinary growth in the fields of residential & office spaces.
And in the other report publicized by Knight Frank India, the sale in home units was hooked around 15,000 units and witnessed with 16 percent growth over the preceding year.
Also the demand for the residential units impelled a 28 percent increase in the new launches, seeing that the developers forecast this demand tends to continue in the current year.
Speaking to this growth in real estate, Anuj Puri, Group chairman, Anarock believes that sales of housing units will stay strong this year and can lead to even higher completions by the developers and designers. Also he adds, “If we consider the period between 2017 and 2023, 2023 saw the maximum annual unit completions. Data indicates that more than 5.3 lakh units are scheduled to be completed across the top 7 cities in 2024.
