Hyderabad records 7% Annual growth in Registration of Housing Properties

In 2024, Hyderabad saw a 7% yearly increase in residential property registrations from July to September, according to a study released on November 5 by proptech platform Square Yards.

According to Square Yards' research, which used IGR data, the city saw a 7% yearly increase in registered residential transactions from July to September 2024, reaching 19,527 units, compared to 18,314 units during the same time the previous year.

According to the study, during the three-month period, the total registered sales value increased by 20% year over year to Rs.11,718 crore.

According to the data, Hyderabad's average registered home sales value for the quarter was Rs. 60 lakh, representing a 13% yearly gain.

According to the research, Hyderabad's mid-to-high price category is still growing, as evidenced by the 13% increase in houses valued at Rs. 1 crore and above in the September 2024 quarter compared to 9% in the same time the previous year. Homes priced between Rs. 1 and 2 crore accounted for the greatest share of this segment at 11%, up from 7% during the July–September 2023 period.

According to the survey, purchasers in the city are still drawn to larger homes, with the largest percentage of transactions (44%) taking place in the 1,000–1,500 square foot area. Notably, due to the growing demand for 3 BHK and larger configurations, properties with a size between 1,500 and 3,000 square feet made up the second-largest percentage of all transactions (37%), up from 31% the previous year, it noted.
