Housing Sales in Delhi soars high - Records 25% Y-o-Y growth

A number of well-known neighborhoods in the nation's capital, formerly recognized for their opulent homes or Kothis, are currently becoming centers for upscale high-rise construction.

For their projects, A-grade listed developers like DLF, TARC, and Godrej, among others, are increasingly choosing to locate in South and West Delhi.

Surging demand for housing, strong infrastructure development, and an increasing emphasis on luxury housing, according to experts, have made New Delhi's real estate market one of the nation's most dynamic property hubs by 2024.

PropEquity data shows that during the October–December 2024 quarter, Delhi’s real estate market saw a 25 percent year-over-year increase in housing sales, with transactions jumping to about 12,915 units from 10,354 units during the same period last year.

45 low-income group (LIG) flats with 1BHK layouts, 58 middle-income group (MIG) flats with 2BHK layouts, and seven high-income group (HIG) flats with 3BHK layouts are all part of the special housing scheme. Flats in other locations will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, while those in Vasant Kunj will be sold through an online auction.

There is no information on the precise number of apartments available at each location.

A 25% discount will be available on about 700 flats in Narela (Sector G2) that are classified as economically weaker section (EWS). In order to give purchasers immediate access to financing options, DDA is working with financial institutions.

The program is aimed at workers in the National Capital Region (NCR) and its surrounding industrial areas, such as Narela, Bawana, and Bhorgarh.
