Gurugram DC issues Warning for Builders on Delayed Safety Audits

Ajay Kumar, deputy commissioner of Gurugram, met with several builder management teams on Tuesday to ensure the safety of people in various societies in the district. The structural audit process needs to be expedited and builders should promptly deposit their share of the audit fees.

Kumar pointed out that some builders were not cooperative with the administration, and a few firms were not interested in the audit process and were putting off the payment of audit fees.

To identify and rectify any flaws in residential towers, the structural audit must proceed immediately. Four agencies have been empaneled by the district administration for the structural audit, according to the additional deputy commissioner. The respective RWAs may give builders prior written approval to use other agencies.

In Phase 1, 15 societies were included, with fees fully deposited by builders, according to DTP Manish Yadav, who provided updates on the audit's progress.
